When I tell people I’m an intern at a finance startup, I receive mixed reactions. Many share their most fraught banking stories, a few make optimistic suggestions on how we can improve their own banking experience. But most don’t associate finance with startups even though this combination is thriving in our Brooklyn office.
I’m excited to join my fellow interns Tom, Kristi, Tami, and Jack at BankSimple this summer. Tom and Tami are front-end engineers working on our website, Kristi and I are contributing to the blog, and Jack’s helping with marketing. I’m proud to be a part of something that will make people’s lives better.
It’s going to be a great summer.
