UPDATE ***** - This promotion with Google Wallet has expired. We’re running another one where you can get a Tanner Goods wallet if you refer friends to Simple.

Today Google announced their decision to retire their Wallet Card. At Simple we believe in using technology to improve the way customers interact with their money and have appreciated seeing innovative products launched by companies like Google to push those frontiers. And while we’re sad to see this product leave the market, we’re excited to see Google continue pushing innovation in the space.

Wallet Card customers are now looking for an alternative solution for their money, and I’m excited to welcome them to Simple. As an added bonus, we’ve worked with Google to deposit $20 to help get your accounts started. (You’ll need to be an existing Wallet Card customer to qualify for the bonus). Of course, you can add your new Simple Visa® Card to Google Wallet to send and receive money.

At Simple, our mission is to help customers feel confident with their money. That means you’ll never be hit with an unexpected fee, mired in small-print legalese, or stuck asking how much you can spend today without hurting yourself tomorrow. We hope you’ll enjoy banking built for the way you think, not the way banks work.
