How do I set up direct deposit?

Easy! Just head over here to generate a customized form to give to your employer. You can choose to deposit all of your paycheck with Simple, or just a portion of it. There's even a voided check printed on the form.

How long does it take to make the switch?

The timing for setting up direct deposit with a new account depends on your employer. It can take just a few days, but it often takes a few weeks or even longer.

If you get paid before the switch is complete, your employer will usually either credit the account you previously had set up for direct deposit, or give you a paper check.

When will my deposit arrive?

Your direct deposit will arrive early in the morning on your payday, by around 8 a.m. ET (5 a.m. PT). If you're not sure exactly when your payday is scheduled, check the date on your pay stub.

We process direct deposits Monday through Friday, so if your payday falls on the weekend, you'll see the funds Monday. And if your payday happens to fall on a Federal banking holiday, your pay will arrive the following business day.

There's not a hold period on direct deposits, regardless of how long your account has been open. You'll have full access to the funds as soon as the deposit has been processed.

If you're expecting a deposit, and you don't see it arrive as scheduled, we recommend checking with your employer to confirm it was sent on time and the account and routing informationthe account and routing informationthe account and routing information was entered correctly.

We'll need to know the name of your employer and the amount of your deposit. Heads up: if you call us outside our normal office hours, and it's an emergency, you can leave us an urgent message and we'll call you back as quickly as possible.
