Depositing or Withdrawing Cash
Depositing cash into Simple is a little roundabout because we don't have any physical branches, and we can't accept deposits through an ATM or at retailers (like some prepaid cards can).
The quickest way to get cash into Simple is to pick up a money order, fill it out and deposit it just like a check (either with Photo Check Deposit or by mail). You can get money orders at many grocery and convenience stores or at any full service USPS office for a small fee. Learn more about when the funds will be available in our check holds article.
Another option is to deposit the cash into another bank account, and then transfer it to Simple.
You can also get cash back from any merchant who offers this service. Cash back doesn't count against the ATM limit, but rather the daily card transaction limit.
If you happen to need a lot of cash at once, a cash advance is your best bet. You can do these at most major banks, even if you're not a customer. (We recommend calling your local branch in advance to ask if they offer this service.) Just walk in, hand the teller your card and a piece of photo ID, and ask them to withdraw money from your card. You can get up to $5,000 per day; this limit includes any ATM withdrawals you've made that day.
