Simple now has Dark Mode

Tired of budgeting late night and straining your eyes to take care of your business? Us too! Enable Dark Mode (or dark theme) on your computer and you'll see Simple in Dark Mode whenever you are logged in.

Setting up Dark Mode

To enable Dark Mode on your Mac (macOS Mojave or later):

  1. Open "System Preferences".
  2. Select “General”.
  3. At the very top of the General settings, look for the “Appearance” section and then choose “Dark”.
  4. When finished, close out of System Preferences.

To enable Dark Mode on Windows 10:

  1. Open "Settings".
  2. Select "Personalization".
  3. Click "Colors" in the left-hand sidebar.
  4. Under "Choose your color", select "Dark".

The Simple app turns dark once you’ve changed your settings to Dark Mode. We’ll match whatever you’ve set your operating system to display.

What if I want to disable Dark Mode?

Easy! You can disable Dark Mode the same way. Follow the instructions above to change the setting back.

Tired of budgeting late night and straining your eyes to take care of your business? Us too! We’ve now got Dark Mode available on all iOS devices. Just make sure you’ve updated your iOS to version 13 or higher.

To enable Dark Mode:

  1. Head to your iOS Settings App.
  2. Tap on "Display and Brightness”.
  3. Under Appearance, select “Dark”.

The Simple app turns dark once you’ve changed your iOS settings to Dark Mode. We’ll match whatever you’ve set your operating system to display.

What if I want to disable Dark Mode?

Easy! You can disable Dark Mode the same way. Follow the instructions above to change the setting back.

Tired of budgeting late night and straining your eyes to take care of your business? Us too! To view Simple in Dark Mode all you need to do is enable the dark theme on your Android device. You'll need Android 10 (API level 29) or higher.

Setting up Dark Mode

To enable the Dark theme on your phone:

  1. Head to your Settings app.
  2. Tap on "Display”.
  3. Tap on "Theme" to enable Dark theme.

Once the Dark theme is enabled in your Android settings it will automatically be enabled for Simple.

If you only want to turn on Dark theme for Simple:

  1. Swipe right or tap the menu icon to open the navigation menu.
  2. Tap on "Settings”.
  3. Tap on "Dark Theme".

If anyone asks you to open a Simple Account to receive funds, it is an attempt at fraud. Common fraud attempts include requesting that you open an account to receive a gift or bonus offer, obtain a job or job training, or help someone else receive funds (such as unemployment benefits).

Do not share your login or account information with anyone
Neither Simple nor any other legitimate institution will ever ask for your account information. If any third party requests your Simple Account login information, it is an attempt at fraud. Sharing your account information with another person or allowing someone else to use your account to receive funds is a violation of the Simple Deposit Account Agreement terms and conditions and can expose you to fraud.

Actions we may take if fraud is suspected

We take fraud and security very seriously at Simple, and take rapid action in the instance of suspected fraud attempts.

We may freeze and close accounts
We may freeze and close accounts if fraudulent activity is suspected, including the following circumstances:

We will report fraud attempts
We are responsible for reporting fraud attempts to authorities, including attempted unemployment fraud. There are state and federal penalties for unemployment insurance fraud (including potential fines and incarceration). If you suspect you are a victim of unemployment fraud, contact the appropriate state fraud hotline listed here.
